Rob Kutner is a four-time Emmy-award-winning writer for “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” and contributor to its bestseller, America (The Book). He has also written for HBO’s “Dennis Miller Live,” as well as humor and feature pieces for the Washington Post, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Esquire, and Maxim.Ê He has collaborated with his wife, TV writer/producer Sheryl Zohn (”Straight Plan for the Gay Man,” “Penn & Teller: Bullshit!”), on the comedy short “The Last Parody,” and the Raw Impressions movie musical “Til Birth Do Us Part.”
Born in Atlanta and educated at Princeton University, Kutner has also lived in St. Petersburg, Russia and been deported from Uzbekistan (really). A Los Angeles resident until recently, he currently lives in New York City but considers himself a transplanted Angeleno. Kutner has also received a Peabody, Television Critics’ Association award, a Grammy for the audiobook of America, and was named a “SuperJew” by Time Out New York. He is still waiting for his superpowers to kick in.
